Hi Jeff,
As Dennis mentioned, the main reason for this issue is the missing PHP file, we have only one PHP file for the entire Blog system which is to be added through the MAIN widget before publishing the site. If you please make sure that the PHP is added, I am pretty sure that you will be totally fine and will not receive any error.
If you placed the PHP file and still receiving an error, please send us the URL in a TICKET and we will look into it for you to find the issue and will let you know what needs to be set on your end, thank you.
