What is the Cookies plugin, and how can it be used?

Cookies Plugin allows you to hide the elements on the page after they are shown, or by a trigger, for a certain amount of time.
Let's say that you have an element that you want your visitors to see only once every two days, like a simple <div> block that serves as a notification. Then you can place a copy of the Cookies Plugin inside that element and give it a "day" custom attribute with the value of "2".

Can I use multiple copies of Cookies Plugin on the same page?

Yes. Note that you need to give a unique name to each copy of the plugin. See the installation page for more information on how to give a unique name to each copy of the plugin.

Can I use a trigger, and when can it be useful?

Yes. The triggers can be easily added to the plugin, simply by giving a "trigger" custom attribute, please read the How to add a Trigger article for details.
Triggers can be useful when you want the user to specifically click on a button or any element in order to have the cookie created. For example, if you have a Privacy Policy notice and you want it to disappear for the after they clicked on the accept button, then you can have the accept button as the trigger, then the Privacy Policy panel will appear every time they visit the page until they click on the accept button.

Can I test the plugin on webflow.io domains?

Yes. You can test the plugin on as many webflow.io domains as you want, without activating the plugin for that specific webflow.io domain.
