Apply to artboards & Duplicated artboards take effect the next time plugin opens. So if you, for example, check the Duplicate artboards option, simply close the plugin and open it again.

By checking this option, the plugin automatically duplicates the selected artboard (or if the artboard is automatically selected in case that there is no selection), and the changes will be applied to the duplicated copy. This will keep your artboards and the elements on them intact.
